HELP WANTED!
I don't know if there are local users on this site who coem back again and again to use the page. I know I am slow with tthe upgrade that I said was goign to happen and it hasn't yet. The problem is my focus isn't squarely on this site... I operate several and try to have a life too.
I'm looking for soemone to help in switching this site over to the new format... Someone who can help complete things... Maybe not oen but several people as no one has proofed the lyrics on teh site in ears.
Those interested in helping out -- drop me a line at webmaster@stonegauge.com.
The alternative to not getting help is finally truly shutting down this site after it's long haul on the web. I would prefer not to do that but.... Well, sometimes things can't be helped. .

Well, it's not quite a sneak preview but for those interested in the new site layout... yOu might want to click on the "Please Please Me" cover on the album covers frame at right.
There is a LOT of work to do... Lots of lyrics to transfer over (and FIX as well!)

Well, it's been almost a year since I last updated this page and the site in general... The site design hasn't changed much at all since it was Beatle Lyrics and Album Covers...
That will change shortly.
At least I HOPE it will. I still have to figure out how I am going to handle everything. You'll see for yourself soon enough ;)

Folks, there's this little issue of bandwidth that forced me to stop allowing people to link directly to images on their sites. I'm paying for my web hosting and having a bunch of sites linking to my images... well, it costs me money.
MEANWHILE -- I admit I screwed up along the way and images aren't displaying ont he site at all. I apologize to everyone who views the site... THis is a botch up of grand proportions. :(

I've tried to place updates before (earlier this summer when a Beatles Cache thought to belong to Mal Evans was found) and for some reason those updates didn't take... I'm trying again just to let you know I added a link to Ringo Starr's personal home page.
The reason I am doing it is a quirk I had experienced with one person who visited the site. They emailed me to confirm a rumor that "Ringo is dead" which is absurd. Sus the Starr link is born on the opening page. Anyone who doubts Ringo is alive -- well, just view the video that is on the main site. He's alive folks, don't even think that Richard Starkey has expired.

Nice homage to the Fabs in the current issue of Entertainment Weekly. The issue dares to ask if the Beatles still matter, and go on to analyze the influence on popular music as well as young america, prompting me to add that sub-title to the front page.
It was over 40 years ago today the British Invasion saved America from mourning, and the turbulent 1960's truly launched.... Thank you John, Paul, George and Ringo and your in advertante steerage of where SOCIETY had to go, let alone popular music.

Well, so far so good with Fab Four Lyrics rebirth.
I have added Let it Be....Naked's High Definition album cover scan. I will include the lyrics when I can. I need to see the diference first, or I will just link to the original Let It Be lyrics.

I checked the web log of this site to see how many hits I am getting a day still and was shocked to see that 200 individuals + are still visiting this site 6 months after it was forced to shut down. Thanks for your ongoing support.
8-30-02 @ 3:20 PM EDT -- Final Update
Several days ago I transferred ownership of the domain www.Beatlelyrics.com to Apple Corp LTD...
Yes, I quit "fighting" (though "fighting" was making it sound like I was trying to actively stop this - I did try but the response was lukewarm at best from everyone else. Not from the fans, however -- you guys were supportive to the end.
I don't know if anyone who is a Beatles fan will come across Stonegauge.com or Fab4lyircs now that we are no longer sharing Beatlelyrics.com as a domain name, but I thought I would leave this final up date anyway....

Again I thank you all for your support when the site first went down a few weeks ago. As you may or may not be aware, I was published in a story appearing in the Floridian section of the St. Petersburg Times (Florida, USA) on Sunday regarding my Beatle Lyrics and Album Covers web site and legal threats that the Beatles law firm -- Sonnenschein, Nath and Rosenthal -- sent me regarding the sitehttp://sptimes.com/2002/08/04/Floridian/More_like__we_can_t_w.shtml
Some fan comments on the site being closed are published in that story.
Monday I received a letter from Sony Music lawyers telling me that I am causing them "irreparable injury" and must take down anything resembling the lyrics of the Beatles songs.
http://sptimes.com/2002/08/06/Artsandentertainment/More_blues_for_Beatle.shtml
This is a cruel and unusual twist to everything seeing that they are accusing me of causing them injury while I am helping them promote their product with my site at no charge to them. Are fans not allowed to be fans any more?
The reason I am posting this message is a humble request that you make noise on the matter. Pass on the story to others on the Net, to local media outlets and anyone else you think could help the situation make it into the mainstream or at least become a buzz so people know there is in fact a problem from how big business is encroaching on the fans -- trying to suffocate even the simplest form of advertising (and flatter) around - web sites, and take away the most basic form of their songs -- the lyrics.
